Ginger Trees

It all started with a song, sometime thousands of centuries ago in a land that we treasure yet don't know where it lies. The song dug itself down thru tunnels of mud, burst its way thru solid rock into white marble stone. Every now and then it reappears and disappears... Trees may have sifted, divided and scattered what presumably was left of it until they fell to the ground, weary and torn. In retrospect, the sounds and words that have nestled into this soul and mind all seem to point in one and yet many opposite directions. The song sometimes flows like water, sometimes stands like a prairie rock in the dezert storm. In the heartland, thru the mindscapes, into the unknown that is yet to come it penetrates the unwavering hollowness and fills it with life.

Группа Ginger Trees была основана в городе Borås (на юго-западе Швеции) в 2003 году музыкантами Henri Gylander'ом и Rasmus'ом Blomqvist'ом. Из-за того, что репетиции и сессии звукозаписи проходили в разных городах (вторым городом был Ronneby, располагающийся в 250 км от Borås'а) в группе за годы активности (2004-2011) сменилось довольно много участников. Так, например, "похищенный" у коллектива 'Nicke med grunden' барабанщик Johan Magnberg оказался аж пятым - синдром Spinal Tap, не иначе :smile:.

В истории Ginger Trees (после пары лет стилистических экспериментов) можно выделить 2 важных "чекпойнта":
1) В 2007 Rasmus Blomqvist переехал из Ronneby в Borås, а Jonte Johansson заменил Fredrik'a Hugosson'a на бас-гитаре.
Таким образом группа наконец закрепилась в одном городе, репетиции стали более регулярными, и, как результат, вскоре парни записали свой дебютный 16-песенный альбом "Came the Morning".
2) В начале 2009 Henri (один из основателей) покинул группу.
Rasmus, Jonte и Johan решили продолжать играть уже в формате трио.
В течение 2009-2010 был записан второй альбом под названием "Along with the Tide", который вышел на известном шведском лэйбле Transubstans Records в феврале 2011-го.
К сожалению, вскоре после выпуска "Along With The Tide" группа ушла в бессрочный отпуск (hiatus).
