Sacred Pledge - веган стрейт эдж хардкор группа из Оберна, США. Существуют с апреля 2006 года и, если я правильно понял по майспейсу, 2 января следующего года они отыграют последний концерт. Имеют на своем счету 2 релиза.
Влияния: Earth Crisis, Another Victim, Buried Alive, Punishment.
Собственно, вот позиция группы: Мы верим в то, что веган диета необходима для выживания на этой планете. Мы разрушаем всё на этой планете и если мы не будем действовать сейчас ,то потом уже будет слишком поздно. Мы верим в то,что вся жизнь свята, это включает в себя ВСЮ ЖИВУЮ ЖИЗНЬ. Тысячи невинных детских жизней отнимаются каждый день просто для удобства. Эти бесмысленные убийства нужно прекратить. Стрэйтэдж - стиль жизни, это ключ к само-освобождению и основа, если мы желаем сделать какую-нибудь позитивную перемену. Наркотики и алкоголь разрушают семьи и являются причинной несчетных смертей невинных людей. Если бы вы убивали только себя, это бы не имело никакого значения. Это - время для мира, чтобы пробудиться и понять ответственность, все мы должны закончить притеснение, происходящее в наших ежедневных жизнях. Правительства во всем мире убирают права их граждан под маской необходимой защиты. Мы двигаемся к новому мировому порядку, мир, в котором любой и все формы инакомыслия угнетаются, мир, в котором люди не имеют никакой власти, и привилегии - вещь прошлого.
Цивилизация ускоряет свой путь к забвению. Это - наша обязанность взять все и предпринять необходимые действия, чтобы препятствовать этой судьбе быть осуществленной.

1. Honor Killing
Humanity redefined - as we kill our own kind - personhood denied - dehumanize your victim - You're a product of a vile system - the plight of their life is unknown - your sin will be shown- you took a baby's life - your life in return will suffice - this is your debt - this is your price - innocent blood is spilled - now justice will be fulfilled - I am determined to be their voice - when you are victim will it still be a choice?
2. Held Accountable
Innocent life seen as nothing more than expendable resources for the corporations that thrive on the exploitation of a species thats seen as lower than their own. Many are mass produced through genetic modification while others are on the edge of extinction. Wait! Stop a minute and think. Could your diet be contributing to this? It's time you put your selfish cravings for flesh aside and abide by the laws of nature for the future of mankind. I have put my selfish cravings aside in an attempt to abide by the LAWS OF NATURE for the future of mankind.
3. Committed Consecration
This conviction was founded inside - and it is - and it was - and it will forever live inside my heart - Straight Edge - I made this promise to myself, for myselft and no one else. A concrete truth to which I hold true. This absolute truth - a sacred oath - that I have lived my life by and will continue to until the day that I die. This pure disgust - this pure hate - this intolerance for a plague that has claimed so many lives. So I have made this morally righteous stand against evil - so I can never be tainted nor lead astray from this path that I am forced to walk every single day. My honor and my pride will forever live inside.
4. The Bar Must Go
I stand for bring back prohibition - the utter demolition of all this curse of misery and woe.. Complete extermination - entire annihilation. - THE BAR MUST GO - Stand up and fight - consuming alcohol is not right. To be sober to be vigilant this is my life long commitment.
